This class is all about helping your dog feel more capable, curious, and calm — while helping you better understand what enrichment really means and how to bring more of it into your everyday life.
Each week, you’ll rotate through multiple enrichment zones that encourage your dog to sniff, climb, explore, and problem-solve in ways that build confidence and connection.
What we focus on:
- Confidence-building through new textures, objects, and setups
- Letting dogs make choices and work through challenges at their pace
- Teaching emotional regulation — how to come down from excitement and reset
- Playing fun, movement-based games to build handler engagement and orientation
You’ll leave knowing more about how your dog thinks and feels — and your dog will leave tired, enriched, and lit up from the inside.
Who This Class Is For:
- Nervous dogs who are easily overstimulated or underwhelmed
- Curious dogs who love sniffing, searching, or novelty
- Picky, cautious, or high-energy dogs who don’t fit into obedience models
- Owners who want to understand their dogs — not just command them
- Anyone ready for something totally different (and totally fun)

Small Dog Skills & Confidence Class
New Classes Starting soon! Join our Waitlist.
Build trust, focus, and fearless little learners — one fun rep at a time.
This foundational course is designed specifically for small dogs who need a training space that matches their size, pace, and personality. Whether your little dog is nervous, feisty, sensitive, or just easily distracted, this 4-week class gives them the tools — and the confidence — to thrive.
We focus on the core emotional and behavioral skills that help small dogs feel secure, motivated, and capable in a variety of settings. That means more engagement, more wins, and a better training future for both of you.
Engagement & Food Motivation
We help your dog learn how to:
- Work for food (even if they’re picky or suspicious)
- Orient to you in new spaces
- Stay interested without luring every step
You’ll learn the difference between “distracted” and “unsure” — and how to shift it gently.
Confidence Building & Handling Prep
We give small dogs time and structure to:
- Try new textures, objects, and movement setups
- Navigate mini confidence stations (scaled to small dogs!)
- Practice calm handling without stress or force
This class lays the groundwork for cooperative care, walks in busy areas, and resilience in real life.
Reinforcement & Free Shaping Basics
We teach dogs how to learn — and you how to let them try:
- Marking and rewarding curiosity
- Building behaviors without pressure
- Giving space for small dogs to offer movement and choice
Shaping helps dogs become creative problem-solvers — and lets you reward what matters to them.
Who This Class Is For
- Small dogs (generally under 25 lbs or short-statured)
- People who want a calm, focused space to build trust and foundational skills — without the pressure of obedience drills or socialization chaos
- Dogs who are unsure, barky, avoidant, or disengaged in other settings
- Handlers who want to feel more confident working with their little dog, not just around their behaviour.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from obedience training?
These classes aren’t about commands or control. We focus on instinctual behavior, confidence, curiosity, and emotional skill-building — the real stuff that makes future training easier. No sit-stay-repeat here.
Where is your dog training facility located?
Our classes are located at 1550 Highway 3, Delhi, ON, Canada, providing a convenient location for local dog owners.
What if my dog doesn’t seem “trainable” or loses focus easily?
(Small Dog Class)
That’s exactly who this class is for. Many small dogs struggle in big, fast-paced training settings. We slow things down, make it feel safe, and show you how to build attention through trust and fun — not pressure.
What if my dog is nervous or doesn’t engage right away?
(Both Classes)
No problem. All activities are designed for choice — your dog can observe, reapproach, or skip a station entirely. We celebrate curiosity, even if it takes a little time to show up.
What if my dog is nervous or unsure?
That’s totally okay — this class is built for it. Dogs are allowed to observe, approach slowly, reapproach, or skip a station if needed. We encourage handlers to watch for subtle communication and support their dog without pressure.
Can reactive dogs attend?
(Enrichment Class)
If your dog is reactive toward other dogs or people, this group class might not be the best first step. We’re happy to chat about private options to help them feel safe and successful first.
Will I be working with my dog, or just observing?
(Both Classes)
You’ll be hands-on the whole time — not in a pressure-to-perform way, but as your dog’s guide, cheerleader, and calm support. We’ll coach you through simple handler activities that build engagement without over-cueing.
What if my dog isn’t super food-motivated?
(Small Dog Class)
That’s more common than you think. We’ll help you build value in reinforcement at your dog’s pace — without pressure or bribery. You’ll learn how to make rewards feel good again.
My dog already knows some basics — is this too easy?
(Both Classes)
Not at all. These classes go deeper than commands — we’re building emotional and behavioral foundations. Even confident dogs benefit from structured enrichment and shaping skills.
What kind of activities will my dog do in the Enrichment Class?
(Enrichment Class)
Scent games, texture exploration, puzzle solving, problem-based food games, and guided recovery stations. Each class is built around instinct and fulfillment — not instruction.
